Litter

Service Outline

Newport City Council is responsible for the removal of litter from the following areas:

  • Council owned land, including car parks
  • Council estates,
  • Council owned grass areas and parks,
  • Canals,
  • Parks,
  • Council owned reens and
  • Public highways.

The Council does not maintain privately owned land or housing association bin areas. Litter on school sites is the responsibility of the individual school.

Requests for new litter bins, repairs to litter bins, and for existing litter bins to be emptied and be made using the email address below.
