Information Station
Service Outline
The Information Station opened in January 2012 offering services from Newport City Council and partner organisations.
Situated on the site of the old Newport railway station, the Information Station is an accessible, welcoming space where local people can access a range of services including:
- Blue badges
- Business rates
- Council tax
- Gwent ethnic minority service (GEMMS)
- Re-housing services
- Housing and council tax benefits
- Licensing
- Planning – available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Social services, including children and families, child protection, exercise referral, appointeeships, access to supported employment.
Offices that previously offered these services in the city centre have now closed.
